Jennifer Evans
Jennifer Evans has been serving at Faith Christian Elementary for 10 years. She has wonderfully filled the roles of 1st and 6th grade teacher's aide, Daycare provider and P.E. instructor. Jennifer previously worked in public education supervising elementary students for 5 years. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Advertising/Graphic Design.
Tell us a little about your family: I grew up in Santa Maria. I married my high school sweetheart, Scott, 22 years ago. We have two adult children, a son and daughter, who both attended FCS.
What is your favorite meal? I love all different types of food.
What other interesting jobs have you had? I owned and operated an embroidery business in my home.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Head to the lake, wakeboarding, camping, spending time with friends and family
How do you serve in other areas of ministry outside of FCS? I attend Hope Point Nazarene church where I am involved in Women's Ministries and previously taught Kid's Sunday School. I also lead a "Mom's in Prayer" group.
The best part about following Jesus is...knowing that I don't need to rely on my own strength and abilities each day and experiencing His amazing peace, regardless of my surrounding circumstances.
What do you love most about your area of service at Faith Christian? The opportunity to mentor and encourage kids from a Biblical perspective and the privilege to see them grow from year to year.
What is a favorite memory of FCS? The genuine relationships I have built with the students.
What does Faith Christian School mean to you? As a parent of former FCS students, Faith Christian means far more to me than just a quality education. It is an environment filled with teachers who pray daily for the students and who genuinely care about their spiritual growth, character development, and their futures. What a comfort to know that the adults influencing my children truly want God's best for them! As a staff member it is a true privilege to share in this role in the lives of others.
