FCS Elementary Families,

Greetings as we close out another week, I trust you and your family are doing well.

Do you see the light at the end of the tunnel?  We are looking forward to having our students on campus in the very near future.  If all goes well with the waiver, we could have students back in class by October 1.

When we do return, we will need those coming back to campus for the first time this year to catch up on the new routines with those who have been able to be in one of the pods.   Please note the following guidelines as we work to keep our campus safe for our students and staff:

  • Everyone will need to sign the Parent Commitment (click here) and Notice of Release (click here) form before students will be able to attend class on campus. (If you have already completed these for Daycamp, you do not need to complete it again.)
  • We must have everyone’s partnership in doing the daily morning temperature & health check and submitting the results on the school app for each student.
  • When dropping off students in the morning, please be prepared to show the myTempCheck screenshot verifying the health check was submitted.  Students are not to be allowed in class until the health screening check is verified.
  • All 3rd-6th grade students will need to wear face coverings while on campus.
  • We have been asked to limit the number of parents and/or visitors on campus to minimize exposure for our students and staff.  Please avoid unnecessary visits to campus.  Parents or visitors who need to come onto the campus are to wear a face-covering.
  • If parents need to pick up their children early, please call the office and we will send your child out to meet you.

I also wanted to remind you that you can check your child’s grades through Family Portal.  Though we won’t be issuing first quarter progress reports, if you are signed up for Auto Email Gradebook Progress Reports, you will begin receiving them this week.  Please contact your student’s teacher if you have any questions about your child’s progress.  First quarter report cards will be issued after the quarter ends on October 20.

Please visit our website to read and become familiar with our Reopening Plan.  Please continue in prayer for approval of the waiver application and the safe return of our students to campus.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."  Philippians 4:6-7

Have a great weekend!
