We are excited to introduce you to our new Director or Advancement who will focus on donor relations and fundraising event management. We welcome Amanda Meyer to this position as she brings a 10-year background in nonprofit education and business management having worked within the Yuba Sutter Community. Amanda and her husband attend Hope Point Nazarene Church in Yuba City and have six children.

In addition, we transitioned the position of Director of Marketing and Communications from a full-time employee to a consultant as Sallee McCleskey and her family have moved to Michigan due to her husband’s job transfer. Sallee will continue to work remotely to support FCS through media publications and remains in connection with the school. Her time and dedication have made it the successful department it is today. We have been blessed by her enthusiasm and expertise and will miss her on site.

The department continues to support a part time Donor Management position; Michelle Baker brings a wealth of experience to the department. Her knowledge of the school and passion for supporting FCS is unparalleled.

With these changes, the department will be expanding its presence and working to cultivate relationships within the community. Through Amanda’s initiative, Faith Christian is now represented with the Yuba Sutter Christian Business Alliance network and has launched a new Alumni Connections program called Legacy Lions on social media. (#faithchristianschool #legacylions). Join us online for Alumni updates and throw-back-Thursdays as we connect the past with the present!

The Lion Share Giving Program is also being updated to include quarterly communications that will share current events happening at the school and provide an opportunity for Friends of Faith Christian School to contribute both prayerfully and financially for school development.

We appreciate all the past support generously given to Faith Christian School during our campaigns and fundraising events. Without the support of our families, our community and our stakeholders, Faith Christian School would not be as successful as we are today. We are blessed to be the conduit of your generosity in supporting Christian Education for the youth of our community.

While the 2020-21 school year may look a little different from previous school years, the Advancement Department continues to plan for the annual Jog-a-Thon, Candy Sale and Gala. For the Lion Run this October we are developing a Virtual theme and will be offering prizes for students as encouragement during this very popular fundraiser. Stay tuned, roll up your sleeves and join us as we support our students & faculty in these unique times.
