K-6 In-Person School Progress!

September 11, 2020
By Bill Hannold, Superintendent

We are a little over two weeks into our new school year and we have some great news to share with you!

We heard today from our Bi-County Health Officer Dr. Luu that she is now accepting, for her review, K-6 Waiver Applications and Reopening Plans.  We just finalized the new waiver application provided by the state and formally submitted the waiver to Dr. Luu.  We are to allow two weeks to hear whether our waiver is approved.

Special thanks go out to Debbie Jewell and Sallee McCleskey who have worked diligently along with many of our staff to make the waiver application a reality.  Please pray our application will find favor in the review process.

Our Reopening Plan is now available for your review on our website at fcs-k12.org  We have been using the reopening plan as a guide for our Day Camp distance learning supervision program.  We appreciate the support and cooperation from all families in following through on the protocols for maintaining a safe environment for our students and staff.

We will keep you updated as we hear any news on our waiver application.
