FCHS Seniors Awarded Scholarships!

Congratulations to Lilli Scoglio for being the 2020 P.E.O. STAR Scholarship winner!
The P.E.O. Star Scholarship was established in 2009 to provide scholarships for exceptional high school senior women to attend a postsecondary institution. The applicants are to exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, and community service.
Lilli had to fill out an application, write an essay about why she wanted this scholarship as it related to her future goals, be interviewed by a panel of 6 P.E.O. members, and then write another essay about leadership to break a tie.
Great job Lilli! We are so proud of you and pray for God’s richest blessings for your future as you head off to Grand Canyon University next year to study Business and Sports Management.
Due to the unique 2020 commencement schedule in our community, scholarships were awarded after our graduation event. Pictured is Lilli receiving a gift from members of the local Vu Chapter of P.E.O. in Yuba City.
Congratulations to Briauna Seale for being the 2020 Donald E. Huckins Memorial Scholarship Winner!
The Yuba Sutter Bar Association granted 11 scholarships this year to graduating seniors of local high schools in Yuba and Suter Counties. This scholarship was awarded to these excellent students for the purpose of continuing their education. These students also were to exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, and community service.
Briauna had to fill out an application and write an essay describing her course of study and the reasons for doing so.
Great job Briauna! We are so proud of you and pray for God’s richest blessings for your future as you head off to William Jessup University next year to study Psychology.
